Artist Bio
Ohio-based artist Marty Husted creates ethereal images that appear spontaneous but display delicate design and beauty. She funnels emotion onto canvas and evokes depth and interest in her paintings by using layers of texture, pattern and dynamic color harmony. Husted’s desire is to take viewers on an imaginary journey with an enticing interpretation of the world in which we live.
Marty Husted is an Ohio native with a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design. She is an award-winning children’s book illustrator, mixed media artist, and oil painter.
Husted is a signature member of the International Society of Experimental Artists. Her work has been featured in the publications Incite: Dreams Realized, The Best of Mixed Media and Incite 2: Color Passion, The Best of Mixed Media. Her corporate clients include Care Source, Greater Columbus Convention Center, Central Ohio Transit Authority, and Ohio Health. Husted’s work can be found throughout the world in private and public collections.
