Luis Biava, conductor
Orville and Wilbur Wright achieved one of humanity’s wildest dreams when they flew the first powered airplane over Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1903. These self-taught engineers, who made bicycles for a living, experienced failure after failure in the tedious testing of kites and gliders, but in the end, hard work and persistence allowed them to succeed. Join guest narrator, 10 TV News Anchor Angela An, as we bring this fascinating story to life, and be inspired by our young student concerto competition winners, Alejandro Orta (Senior Division) and Sonya Moomaw (Junior Division), as they spread their wings on the big stage.
